CSO K-9 Death

Canton, Cherokee County GA. June 14, 2010 - A Cherokee Sheriff’s Office K-9 died Saturday afternoon. K-9 “Boris” was located in his kennel by his handler Deputy Lee Stewart. A veterinarian examination indicated that “Boris’” died from a gastric torsion which basically means that his stomach flipped inside his abdominal cavity.

“Boris” was a 9 year old Belgium Malinois and had worked for the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office for 7 years. He specialized in drug detection, patrol, and tracking.
