Counterfeit Document Arrests

Canton, Cherokee County GA. June 16, 2010 - The FBI/Cherokee Safe Streets Task and the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant at 104 Alexander Street in Canton this morning. The search warrant was a result of follow up investigations related to the June 2nd bust of a Woodstock apartment where counterfeit driver’s licenses, social security cards, and Resident Alien cards were being produced. Four arrests were made at the Canton location where investigators believe the suspects were part of the same counterfeiting organization from Woodstock. Computers, printers, $400.00 cash and counterfeit documents were taken from the home. Also located at the address were letters from the Social Security Administration mailed to the Alexander Street address that indicates some of the numbers on the counterfeit cards belong to actual US citizens.

Arrested at the location were Virginio Josue Jeronimo-Mejia, 23 years old, Edilzar David Jeronimo-Diaz, 34 years old, Marcos Juan Baltazar-Pedro, 32 years old, and Sebastian Simon-Manuel, 32 years old. All 4 suspects resided at the Canton address and were charged multiple counts of Forgery in the 2nd Degree. Diaz received an additional charge of Driving without a License. All four suspects remain in custody at the Cherokee Adult Detention Center.
