Hodge Arrest

Woodstock, Cherokee County GA. June 21, 2010 - On June 15th Cherokee Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Markus Hodge, 18 years old of Woodstock, in connection with a hit and run involving a stolen vehicle that occurred that same day. A detective interviewing Hodge obtained information that led to a search warrant at Hodge’s Woodstock home on Wednesday. While searching Hodge’s home investigators located evidence linking Hodge with numerous Entering Autos in the Towne Lake area of Cherokee County. Detectives located several pairs of men’s and women’s sunglasses,3 Sirus radios,3 XM radios, an MP3 player, digital camera and a radar detector along with several I Pods, cellular phone chargers and other personal items such as wallets, Drivers Licenses and ID’s. Although 14 victims have been identified so far, it is likely there are more who have not filed police reports. Anyone who lives in the Town Lake Hills South area and has had something stolen from their vehicle in the last 30 days is urged to report that to the Cherokee Sheriff's Office.

Hodge is currently in custody at the Cherokee County Jail charged with 14 counts of Entering Auto, 1 count of Theft by taking motor vehicle, 2 counts of Striking a fixed object, 1 count of Fleeing and attempting to elude,1 count of reckless driving, 1 count of Obstruction of an officer, 1 count of driving with no license. His bond is set at $132,860.00.
