Taylor Arrest

Acworth, Cherokee County GA. June 21, 2010 - Cherokee Sheriff’s Office investigators located Paul Taylor Thursday afternoon at his home on Lee Path in Acworth. Taylor was wanted for assaulting his wife and firing a rifle at her following a domestic dispute Monday morning. That morning Taylor fled into the woods following the incident. While deputies were on the scene they heard a second shot in the woods behind the home. The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office SWAT team searched the woods but was unable to locate Taylor.

Two other persons were arrested yesterday when Taylor was taken into custody. Taylor’s common law wife Tiffany Johnson, 30 years old of Acworth, was charged with Giving False Statements and Hindering the Apprehension of a Criminal. She remains in custody with an $11,880.00 bond. Also arrested at the Lee Path home was Carey Wilkins, 45 years old of Kennesaw. He was also charged with Giving False Statements and Hindering the Apprehension of a Criminal. He remains in custody with an $11,800.00 bond.

Investigators found Taylor hiding in a bathroom. He is currently being held without bond charged with Aggravated Assault and Battery.
