K-9 Yoda

Canton, Cherokee County GA. August 5, 2010 - The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office is happy to introduce the latest addition to their agency. K-9 “Yoda” has been assigned to work with K-9 Deputy Lee Stewart. “Yoda” will be replacing K-9 “Boris” who died in June from a gastric torsion. “Yoda” is a Belgium Malinois and is currently training with Stewart. “Yoda”, who was purchased with seized drug funds, will be hitting the streets of Cherokee County in mid-September and will be certified in drug detection, bite, tracking, and patrol.

"Boris was a tremendous asset to our agency. We are confident that Yoda will be a great K-9 and asset to our agency as well."

Sheriff Roger Garrison
