PMP Graduation

Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. December 10, 2010 - Twenty seven local deputies, police officers, and civilian workers graduated Friday after participating in the Cherokee Sheriff's Office Professional Management Program. The program is presented by Columbus State University and the Law Enforcement Command College and includes five one-week modules. The curriculum is based on improving management skills and specifically teaches the students about leadership, managing marginal employees, decision making, legal liability, and budgeting.

Law enforcement officers and civilians from Cherokee 911, the Cherokee, Pickens, Habersham, Gilmer and Forsyth County Sheriff's Offices, as well as Sandy Springs, Alpharetta, Holly Springs, D.N.R, Clarkesville, Woodstock, Georgia World Congress Center, Milton, John's Creek, and Cobb County Police Departments participated in the program.
