Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. November 3, 2011. Sheriff Roger Garrison and investigators with the Cherokee Safe Streets Task Force were honored at Tuesday's Commission Meeting at the Bluffs in Canton. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) Roger Stanton presented the awards for the agency's participation in the Safe Streets Task Force and for recent assistance with a public corruption investigation that took place in another jurisdiction.
"I am very proud of the relationship we have with the FBI and I'm honored they had the confidence in this agency to ask for our assistance with this very sensitive corruption case."
