On November 19, 2001, a medical call was dispatched requesting help at the home of Cpl. Johnny Anderson. Upon arrival it was discoverd that the electrical power to the house and neighborhood was out. Locke immediately assisted Cpl. Anderson's wife with the Ambu-Bag for breathing while Deputies Thurman, Burns, and Allen tried to determine the reason for the power outage. Upon finding that the entire neighborhood had no power Deputy Thurman quickly remembered that his patrol unit had a 120 volt power source installed in it. While Deputy Thurman was getting his unit from the street, Deputy Burns and Allen located an electrical extension cord in the basement of the house and ran it to Deputy Thurman's car and the breathing machine.
