Press Release Arrest

December 13, 2001

Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. December 13, 2001. At approximately 6:00 p.m. Cherokee County 911 received a call reporting a red Chevy Blazer weaving all over the roadway near Bells Ferry and Hobgood Park. The caller also indicated that the car was last seen turning into Boston Elementary School. Deputies responded to Boston Elementary School where they found the car and one occupant. Kenneth Bivens, fifty-five years of age of Riceville, TN was arrested with charges of DUI, open container, obstruction and two counts of possession of a weapon on school property. Bivens is currently in custody at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center with a bond of $13,025.
