Press Release Car Crash

April 1, 2002

Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. April 1, 2002. The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating a car crash that occurred Monday around 1:00 p.m..

The crash occurred on Wade Green Road. A red Marquis was traveling on Hopgood Road and failed to stop at a stop sign entering into Wade Green road hitting a white pickup truck traveling southbound. The white pickup truck went off to the side of the road while the impact of the crash spun the red Marquis into an oncoming school bus. The bus was carrying three children, one attendant and a driver. The school bus occupants sustained no injuries.

The driver of the red Marquis, was transported to Kennestone Hospital where she sustained minor injuries. Charges against the driver of the red Marquis are failure to stop at a stop sign and no driver's license. As a result of the investigation more charges may be taken.
