March Criminal Investigation Division Statistics

Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. April 8, 2002. During the month of March 2002, The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) reported a total of 523 cases assigned. Out of the 523 cases filed, $190,041 in property value was stolen. As a result of these cases being solved, $64,973 or 30% of stolen property has been recovered. In the 523 cases filed in March, 270 or 70% were solved this month alone.

CID has been assigned 1,458 cases year-to-date with 746 or 36% being resolved. The amount of property stolen to date is $517,253. Of that property amount, $223,197 or 36% has been recovered so far this year. The information coming from the community aides the Criminal Investigation Division in the successful outcome in so many cases filed through the division.
