Press Release April CID Statistics

Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. May 6, 2002. During the month of April 2002, The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) reported a total of 502 cases assigned. Out of the 502 cases filed, $279,608 in property value was stolen. As a result of these cases being solved, $207,973 or 74% of stolen property has been recovered. In the 502 cases filed in April, 262 or 52% were solved this month alone.

CID has been assigned 1,960 cases year-to-date with 1,008 or 51% being resolved. The amount of property stolen to date is $796,861. Of that property amount, $431,170 or 54% has been recovered so far this year. The information coming from the community aides the Criminal Investigation Division in the successful outcome in so many cases filed through the division.
