Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. May 16, 2002.
On May 10, 2002 Deputy Sheriff Bobby Free of the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office responded to a call at 174 April Street regarding a burglary that had already occurred at the residence. A 1988 Ford Bronco, a red Kawasaki motorcycle and a red trailer were among items stolen. While Deputy Free was taking the report, two Bells Ferry precinct deputies recovered the car, motorcycle and trailer taken from the residence. The case was turned over to the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) for further investigation and processing of the scene.
The evidence collected during the investigation provided Detective David Simmons and Investigator Todd Hicks with enough information to make three arrests in the case. One juvenile male was arrested and taken into juvenile custody. A couple of days after being interviewed Michael Harrison, 17 years of age, was arrested on charges of burglary and two counts of theft by taking. His bond amount is set at $25,550 and he is currently being held at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Division. Anthony Roland, 17 years of age was arrested May 11, 2002, for an outstanding juvenile probation warrant. He was
held at the juvenile facility until arrest warrants were taken for the burglary of the residence. Roland is currently being held at the Cherokee Adult Detention Center on charges of Burglary and two counts of theft by taking. His bond amount also set at $25,550.
