Press Release Serious Injury

May 17, 2002

Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. May 17, 2002. On Wednesday, May 16, 2002 afternoon at approximately 4:30 p.m.. The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a vehicle crash with possible serious injury.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Bells Ferry and TowneLake Parkway. A Chevy Blazer was turning through the intersection of Bells Ferry and TowneLake Parkway when it struck a Dodge Dakota that was pulling a boat.

The driver of the Chevy Blazer, 16 years old of Canton, Ga. and the passenger of the vehicle were transported to Kennestone Hospital. The driver of the Dodge Dakota, David Nealand, 28 years of age of Marietta and passengers Jason Sheriff, 22 years of age of Austell and Steven Petty, 33 years of age of Marietta were transported to Kennestone Hospital.

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Traffic Enforcement Unit will be investigating the vehicle crash.
