Press Release June CID Statistics

Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. July 9, 2002. During the month of June 2002, The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) reported a total of 416 cases assigned. Out of the 416 cases filed, $131,474 in property value was stolen. As a result of these cases being solved, $60,012 or 45% of stolen property has been recovered. In the 416 cases filed in June, 184 or 44% were solved this month alone.

CID has been assigned 2,894 cases year-to-date with 1,428 or 49% being resolved. The amount of property stolen to date is $1,190,622. Of that property amount, $639,944 or 53% has been recovered so far this year. The information coming from the community aides the Criminal Investigation Division in the successful outcome in so many cases filed through the division.
