Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. August 9, 2002.
The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office filed additional charges added to James Nash Mangrum, 17 years of age, of Canton, Ga.. Detectives charged Mangrum with Aggravated Child Molestation, Improper Disposal of a Body and Tampering with Evidence relating to the Katie Hamlin investigation. Mangrum is currently being held at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center with no bond.
Investigators for the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office are still investigating the cause of death and are following up on all leads regarding the case.
