Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. August 15, 2002.
Earlier this morning, State Senator Saxby Chambliss spoke to forty-five Cherokee County Sheriff's Office and Emergency Management Agency personnel. Senator Chambliss, Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, briefed public safety personnel on current issues in the United States government that relate to local law enforcement agencies. Sheriff Roger Garrison was honored to see a Congressional candidate take time out of his schedule to brief public safety personnel on issues that affect Cherokee County on a daily basis.
