Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. September 26, 2002 At approximately 9:00 p.m. on September 25, 2002, The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a vehicle crash with possible serious injury.
The crash occurred on Eagle Drive at the intersection of Rose Creek Drive. A blue Volkswagon Fox was traveling west on Eagle Drive where, preliminary investigation indicates, it crossed over the centerline and struck a white Oldsmobile Royal, traveling east, head on.
The driver of the blue Volkswagon, Patti Hamby, 43 years of age of Acworth, Ga sustained critical injuries from the crash and was life-flighted to Grady Memorial Hospital.
The driver of the white Oldsmobile, John Davis, 35 years of age of Acworth, Ga sustained serious injuries and was ground transported to Northside-Cherokee Hospital.
The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the vehicle crash.
