September Criminal Investigation Division Statistics

Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. October 3, 2002  During the month of September 2002, The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) reported a total of 428 cases assigned. Out of the 428 cases filed, $277,074 in property value was stolen. As a result of these cases being solved, $97,185 or 35% of stolen property has been recovered. In the 428 cases filed in September, 162 or 37% were solved this month alone.

CID has been assigned 4,093cases year-to-date with 1,970 or 48% being resolved. The amount of property stolen to date is $2,042,189. Of that property amount, $980,031 or 47% has been recovered so far this year. The information coming from the community aides the Criminal Investigation Division in the successful outcome in so many cases filed through the division.
