Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. December 18, 2002 On December 17, 2002 at 12:30 a.m., Deputy Sheriff M. Stoudt of The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office was patrolling the car wash at Highway 20 and Scott Road due to numerous burglaries and thefts of the vending machines. When Deputy Stoudt pulled into the car wash, he found two white males standing in front of the vending machines and a vehicle occupied by two people parked off to the side of the vending machines. The vending machines the male suspects were standing in front of showed signs of recent vandalism. The vehicle and scene contained evidence that led deputies to arrest the two male suspects.
The two male suspects arrested are; Jack Quarles, 36 years of age of Ball Ground and Charlton Green 25 years of age of Canton. Both suspects are charged with Loitering and Prowling, Possession of tools during the commission of a crime, and five counts of criminal damage in the second degree. The suspects are currently being held at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center with a bond amount of $39,225.
