Update to Arrest

Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. February 24, 2003  On October 10, 2002 The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a residence in reference to inappropriate behavior to a child.

Detectives from the Cherokee County Sheriff's Criminal Investigation Division received information from a family member that a foster father had allegedly molested their child. Through interviews with the victim and the alleged suspect, detectives uncovered sufficient evidence to substantiate the allegation of the child. William Perry Morris, 40 years of age of Canton, Ga. was arrested on October 18, 2002 and charged with two counts of Aggravated child molestation and child molestation. On February 12, 2003, Morris pled guilty to the two counts of Aggravated Child Molestation and Child Molestation. Morris was sentenced to forty years serve 14 years.
