Waleska, Cherokee County, Ga. May 30, 2003   Sergeant T. Pinyan of the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office was patrolling Silver Creek Subdivision, a new subdivision in Waleska, when he observed a vehicle pulling out of a house that is currently under construction. Sergeant Pinyan approached the driver of the vehicle to find out what the driver was doing at the house and where all of the lumber in the back of the truck had come from. The suspect attempted to flee the area, but Sergeant Pinyan was able to apprehend the suspect and find a small amount of Methamphetamine as well as learn that the suspect had taken construction supplies from the house. Once the suspect was placed into custody deputies learned the vehicle the suspect had been driving was stolen out of Gordon County.

Don Fisher, 47 years of age of Fairmount, Ga was charged with Burglary, possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor obstruction to a Peace Officer, misdemeanor theft by taking, loitering/prowling, operating a vehicle with a suspended license, no proof of insurance. Fisher is currently being held at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center with a bond set at $ 33,935.
