Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. June 23, 2003 The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division (CID) is investigating several Internet Fraud complaints made to the Internet Fraud Complaint Center. Detective B. Love, with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office CID, was able to obtain evidence through his investigation, which led to an arrest in the case.
Garry Lee McColgin, forty-six years of age of Woodstock, Ga was arrested Friday, June 20,2003 on charges of two counts of theft by taking, two counts of theft by deception, forgery in the 1st degree, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, terroristic threat, forged or counterfeited trademarks and Violation of Georgia RICO Act, as well as additional charges pending. McColgin is currently out on bond.
