Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. July 8, 2003 On July 8, 2003, at approximately 5:30 p.m. the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office responded to Jonquil Court at Orchid Way off Lower Union Hill Road regarding a cyclist running into a vehicle.
A 12-year-old male child was riding his bike south on Jonquil Court and failed to stop at a stop sign striking a 2002 Dodge Ram truck. The child sustained injuries and was air-ambulanced to Scottish Rite Hospital. At last report the child's injuries were not life threatening.
The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the scene of the crash.
