FBI National Academy Graduation

Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. July 13, 2003  The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office would like to give special recognition to Lieutenant Ken Locke, Commander of the Bridge Mill Precinct on his recent graduation from the Federal Bureau of Investigations National Academy (FBINA). Lieutenant Locke started his career with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office in 1989. He has been assigned to various divisions of the Sheriff's Office including the Adult Detention Center, Criminal Investigations and the Uniform Patrol Division.

While attending the 10-week program at Quantico, Virginia, Lt. Locke successfully completed courses in management, forensic science, legal issues for law enforcement, physical training, executive leadership and interviews and interrogations. All courses taught at the FBINA are accredited through the University of Virginia. The training is considered the best offered in the country. Lt. Locke becomes the fifth Cherokee County Sheriff's Office employee to graduate from the FBINA academy. Sheriff Roger Garrison, Major Vic West, Captain Ed Lacey and Lt. Karen Johnson are all FBINA graduates.
