Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. July 15, 2003 U.S. Marshal's Office received information from the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office (CID) that Gerald Walker had a girlfriend and family in the area of Oakland County Michigan. The U.S Marshall's Office setup surveillance of the area and located Walker. The U.S. Marshall's Office initiated a felony traffic stop on Walker and placed him into custody without incident. Walker is currently being held at the Wayne County Adult Detention Center.
Detectives with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office have been actively looking for Walker for the past year for his involvement in the kidnapping and aggravated assault of David Mosley that occurred in July of 2002. Walker is facing kidnapping with serious bodily injury, armed robbery, aggravated assault with a weapon and theft of a motor vehicle charges in Cherokee County. Julie Smith, Jennifer Allen, Ambritta Tritt, David Spence, Jr. and Duane Allen were formerly arrested on charges surrounding the kidnapping.
