Aggravated Assault

Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. August 13, 2003  On August 12, 2003, Deputies from the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office arrest two suspected thieves after an alert business owner provides a vehicle description and tag number.

Cherokee County deputies were dispatched to a tanning salon located at 6199 Highway 92 to investigate a theft complaint. Upon arrival deputies learned that two females suspects entered the salon asking questions about different types of tanning beds. This was an obvious attempt to distract the owner. Deputies located the vehicle a short distance away and arrested the two female occupants.
