Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. August 27, 2003 The Capital City Club will host the American Express Championship, a PGA sponsored event, which will begin on September 29th and conclude on October 5th, 2003.
Representatives from the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office will be available at the Hickory Flat Community Center located on Vaughn Road on September 15th at 7:00 p.m. to answer questions regarding traffic concerns along Earney Road during the event.
More than 15,000 spectators are expected to visit the tournament daily with many using the public parking lots being constructed off Earney Road near the golf course.
