Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. September 29, 2003 At approximately 1:30 p.m., The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office received responded to 1200 Ellen Way, Apartment #211 of the Cherokee Summit Apartments, in reference to a burglar in the residence.
Residents of the apartment complex gave information to Deputy Sheriff M. Nelson and Corporal F. Reynolds that the suspect was still in the residence. Deputies placed the suspect into custody. Richard Chaney, 20 years of age of Marietta, is charged with Burglary and Possession of Marijuana. Chaney is currently being held at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center.
