Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. October 6, 2003 Once again Halloween is upon us and Sheriff Garrison reminds us to be safe and watch out for others. Sheriff Garrison advises the community to stay in well-lighted areas, wear bright colors at night and to use a flashlight. Try to stay in groups so that you can be seen and try not to stay out so late. Parents can help by checking all of your child's candy and remember not to eat anything that is not properly wrapped and properly inspected. Parents are encouraged to have their children trick-or-treat only at the houses of people they know. Sheriff Garrison wants parents to call if they witness aggressive or unsafe driving. The Uniform Patrol Division will concentrate in subdivisions and residential areas. The Sheriff wants to remind everyone of the neighbor's property and to be respectful. Most of all Sheriff Garrison wants kids to have fun and be safe this Halloween.
