Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. October 30, 2003 At approximately 11:45 a.m. Pickens County dispatch contacted Cherokee County dispatch regarding a lookout for a vehicle carrying a wood-chipper that had just been stolen. Holly Springs Police Department located the vehicle ten minutes after Cherokee County 911 dispatched the information. The vehicle was stopped by Holly Springs Police Department on 575 near Rabbit Hill Road when both passengers of the vehicle fled. Holly Springs was able to place one of the suspects into custody and asked for Cherokee County K-9 assistance in locating the second suspect. Deputy L. Stewart and K-9 Boris were able to assist Holly Springs in placing the second suspect into custody. The suspects arrested are:
William Washburn, 41 years of age of Canton, Ga. is charged with 3 counts of Burglary out of Cherokee County charges are pending out of Holly Springs, Pickens County and Dawson County. Washburn is currently being held at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center.
Robert Keith Miller, 42 years of age of Atlanta, Ga is charged with 3 counts of Burglary out of Cherokee County with charges pending out Holly Springs, Gwinnett County, Pickens County and Dawson County. Miller is currently is being held at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center.
