Arrest in Residential Burglary

Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. January 23, 2004  At approximately 2:30 pm the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to 608 Dunbarton Court regarding a burglar in the residence.

Upon arrival, Deputy D. Higgins noticed a suspicious male leaving the residence. The juvenile male was in possession of a weapon when Deputy Higgins arrested him and charged him with one count of Burglary. The juvenile suspect was released to the parental custody. The original vehicle that the suspect was in with two other suspects fled the scene. Another vehicle appeared to pick up the suspect and subsequently two more juveniles were taken into custody for questioning and later released. After Detectives from the Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division interviewed the suspects they were able to locate and apprehend the two suspects that were in the original vehicle. One of the suspects, a juvenile, was charged with two counts of Burglary and the last suspect, Pierce Gillett, 17 years of age, of Woodstock, Ga was charged with two counts of Burglary and taken to the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center.
