Home Invasion

Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. January 24, 2004  At approximately 2:45 am, deputies from the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office responded to 526 Peaks Way, The Peaks Apartments, regarding a home invasion.

Upon arrival deputies found a 19-year-old male shot in the neck. Deputies learned that a suspect forcible entered the residence when one of the residents met the suspect and was shot in the back of the neck. The suspect fled on foot and did not take anything from the residence. Detectives from the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division learned through interviewing witnesses that the perpetrator and the victim knew each other and this was not a random act of violence.
