Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. January 28, 2004 At approximately 2:30 pm, on January 12, 2004 deputies of the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office responded to an armed robbery call at the Wachovia Bank located at 2025 Towne Lake Parkway. A white male entered the bank and demanded an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect left the bank on foot.
Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division was able to identify the suspect after airing the photograph from the bank surveillance cameras to the media. Citizens aided detectives by calling the Sheriff's Office with information regarding the suspect. Detectives from the Sheriff's Office and FBI obtained evidence to take warrant for Armed Robbery and Bank Robbery. The suspect is also a wanted for questioning in an Alabama Bank Robbery Investigation.
Early this morning, the Tennessee Highway Patrol came into contact with the suspect during a traffic stop. The Highway Patrol arrested James Lee Loggins, 46 years of age, Austell, Ga. Loggins remains in custody of Tennessee authorities.
