Communication Vehicle

Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. February 3, 2004  Sheriff Roger Garrison is proud to unveil the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office new communication's vehicle in a press conference scheduled for 10:30 am, February 4, 2004, 498 Chattin Drive, Canton, Ga. The vehicle contains state of the art communications technology that allows the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office to respond to any critical incident in North Georgia and setup as the main communication command post. Currently law enforcement agencies are not able to communicate on the same radio systems and frequencies. The new communication vehicle will allow law enforcement personnel to communicate in times of critical need. The Sheriff's Office was able to attain this $320,000 vehicle with a grant sponsored by the Office of National Homeland Security.
