Fatal Car Crash

Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. February 12, 2004  On February 11, 2004, at approximately 5:00 p.m. The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office responded to Reinhardt College Parkway at Little Refuge Road regarding a serious injury crash.

A white Cadillac DeVille was traveling southbound on Reinhardt College Parkway when it left the Southside of the roadway and struck a tree. The driver of the vehicle, Patricia Stewart, 59 years of age of Canton was ground transported to North Fulton Regional Hospital where she in stable condition. The passenger of the vehicle, Jewel Gowder, 90 years of age of Floyd County was air-ambulanced to North Fulton Regional Hospital where she later died.

The Cherokee County Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the fatal car crash.
