Arrest in Person Impersonating a Police Officer

Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. March 1, 2004  At approximately 6:15, Monday morning, the Cherokee County Dispatch Center received a call from a Georgia State Trooper who was driving a white Mercedes south on I-575. The trooper stated an unmarked vehicle was attempting to pull him over using a spotlight located on the driver's side of the vehicle. Corporal Frank Reynolds, of the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office initiated a traffic stop on the black Crown Victoria near Sixes Road. William Franklin Little, 25 years of age, of Jasper, Ga was charged with impersonating a Peace Officer. Deputies found a 357-magnum handgun in the suspect's vehicle. Little is currently being held at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center.
