Arrest Armed Robbery/Aggravated Assault

Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. March 8, 2004  Deputies with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office responded to Lot # 16 Whispering Pines Mobile Home Park, Thursday morning, March 4, after receiving an armed robbery call. Detectives identified Anthony King, 24 years of age and Tonya Hagins, 34 years of age, both of Canton as possible suspects in the armed robbery. Detectives say the couple used a firearm to rob the residents at Lot #16. On Friday morning, deputies again responded to Whispering Pines Mobile Home Park after receiving a call that King had fired several shots at a resident who had called 911 on the previous morning.

Detectives learned the couple were in DeKalb County and with the assistance of the DeKalb County Police Department arrested the two Sunday evening. Officers seized a 9mm handgun believed to be the weapon used to commit the robbery and fire at the resident Sunday morning.

Anthony King, 24 years of age, of Canton, Ga is charged with aggravated assault and armed robbery. King is currently being held at the Cherokee County Adult Detention without a bond.

Tonya Hagins, 34 years of age, of Canton, Ga is charged with party to the crime of armed robbery. Hagins is currently being held at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center without a bond.
