Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. March 7, 2004 On March 7, 2004, at approximately 11:30 p.m. the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office responded to 2016 Green Hill Pass in reference to a 911 hang-up call.
Upon arrival, deputies found one of the resident's of the house had locked himself in a bedroom with a weapon. After several attempts by deputies to get the resident to open the door, deputies entered the room where the resident had a weapon that he pointed in the direction of the deputies. The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team and Crisis Negotiation Team assisted the deputies in negotiating the resident out of the room. Lucian Herman Moore, 40 years of age, of Canton, Ga is charged with three counts of aggravated assault on a Police Officer.
