Armed Robbery Arrest

Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. March 25, 2004  On June 7, 2002, the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office assisted Ball Ground Police Department in incident of an armed robbery that occurred at the Regions Bank located at 2995 Canton Highway in Ball Ground.

A white male approximately 35 years in age walked into the bank gave the teller a note demanding an undisclosed amount of money. The man then brandished a weapon at the teller and left the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division and the Federal Bureau of Investigations followed up on leads developed at the initial crime scene and arrested Samuel Neal Moore, 35 years of age, Statum, Ga on a Federal arrest warrant of Bank Robbery. Moore is currently being held in the custody of the United States Marshal's Service.
