Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. April 9, 2004 The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division (CID) has closed a two-month surveillance investigation with the arrest of Walter Johnson, 53 years of age of Canton, Ga. CID received information from concerned citizens that alcohol was being sold illegally on Sunday's from the residence of 96 Canton Street. Detectives followed-up on the information with undercover surveillance of the residence, which ended with the detectives performing a search warrant of the residence. Johnson was charged with three counts of selling alcohol on Sunday.
