Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. April 26, 2004 The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office with the assistance of the Galveston Texas Metro Fugitive Squad, the Atlanta Metro Fugitive Squad, Paulding County Sheriff's Office and the Chattanooga Police Department announces the arrest of Jeffrey Bourassa and Renee Bourassa. The Bourassa's were wanted for their participation in the home invasion at 526 Peaks Way, the Peaks Apartments that occurred on January 24, 2004. Information received during the investigation in February led to the arrests of Trevor Coleman and John William Turner, two other parties involved in this incident. Coleman is charged with party to the crime of aggravated battery and is currently out on bond. Turner is charged with conspiracy to commit murder and is currently being held at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center.
Investigators have been attempting to locate Bourassa and his wife, for their participation in the incident, since late January. Jeffrey Bourassa, 21 years of age of Paulding County, is charged with conspiracy to commit murder, armed robbery, aggravated battery, burglary and possession of firearm during commission of a crime. Renee Bourassa, 22 years of age of Paulding County, is charged with party to a crime of aggravated battery. The Bourassa's are currently being held in Galveston, TX where they will await extradition.
