Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. May 6, 2004 At approximately 4:30 pm, Dale Patterson abducted his son Justin Patterson, one year of age, from 1060 Old Mill Road. Dale Patterson, 27 years of age allegedly kidnapped his spouse, his 1 month old and his 1year old at gunpoint from their residence. Patterson took his spouse and the one month old to his parents and kept the one year old, Justin, in the vehicle. Patterson fled the area with Justin and was located at approximately 8:15 pm and placed into custody. The child was not harmed. Patterson is charged with kidnapping with bodily injury, two counts of kidnapping and aggravated assault. Patterson is being held at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center without a bond.
