Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. May 13, 2004 On May 12, 2004, at approximately 1:30 am, D/S Todd White from the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a vehicle with no tail lights located at Towne Lake Parkway and North Medical Parkway. The vehicle failed to stop for the deputy. The deputy attempted to locate the vehicle in the area when he learned the vehicle had crashed on the side of Eagle Drive at Rose Creek. The driver fled the scene of the crash. The passenger of the vehicle, Vanessa Lippencott, of Woodstock, was seriously injured and transported to N. Fulton Regional Hospital. Deputies located the driver of the vehicle in a subdivision nearby and placed him into custody.
Dustin Lamar Henry, 19 years of age of Acworth, Ga is charged with DUI, serious injury by vehicle, attempting to elude, driving on the wrong side of roadway, leaving the scene of an accident, driving too fast for conditions, reckless driving, headlights not properly working, driving with no license, weaving over the roadway, tail lights required. Henry is currently being held at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center with a bond of $18,000.
