Serious Injury Vehicle Crash

Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. June 1, 2004  At approximately 3:45 p.m. the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Traffic Enforcement Unit responded to a vehicle crash with serious injury on Highway 92 in front of Lummus Supply Company.

A blue Chrysler Sebring traveling westbound on Highway 92 crossed over the centerline to avoid hitting traffic that had come to a stop. The Sebring crashed head-on with a white dumpster hauler traveling eastbound on Highway 92. The driver and 15 year old juvenile passenger of the white dumpster hauler sustained non-life threatening injuries and were ground transported to Kennestone Hospital. The driver of the Sebring sustained critical injuries and was air-ambulanced to Atlanta Medical Hospital. The passenger of the Sebring sustained serious injuries and was ground transported to Atlanta Medical Hospital.

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the crash.
