Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. July 26, 2004 On July 24, 2004, The Cherokee Sheriff's Office responded Highway 92 and Robin Road in reference to a person walking down the road holding an axe.
Deputies responded to the area and arrested Anthony Hamby, 30 years of age of Woodstock, Ga. Hamby stated that he was upset that someone had just stolen his bicycle from the Kroger parking lot and was attempting to locate the bicycle and the person who took it from the area. Hamby is charged with Reckless Conduct and Drugs to be kept in Original Container. Hamby is currently being held at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center with a bond amount of $1,350.
