Sheriff Garrison Elected Regional Vice President of the Sheriff's Association

Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. August 3, 2004  Tom Brown, The Sheriff of DeKalb County recently nominated Cherokee County Sheriff Roger Garrison as the Region 2 Vice President of The Georgia Sheriff's Association. The Sheriff's Association currently has 9 regions in the State of Georgia. Region 2, which Sheriff Garrison will be Vice President, consists of 11 metro counties. A regional Vice President serves a three- year term and listens to issues Sheriff's Offices face in their respective regions. As Vice-President of Region 2, Sheriff Garrison will become a member of the Board of Directors, which aids in determining the future direction of the Association. Terry Norris, the Director of the Georgia Sheriff's Association said, "We are excited to have a pro-active Sheriff, such as Roger Garrison, serving as a Vice President of Region 2."
