Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. August 3, 2004 It is time for school to begin. The Cherokee Sheriff's Office Traffic Enforcement Unit will be enforcing speed in the school areas during the first week of school. The Sheriff's Office requests drivers to be cautious of children walking or getting out of vehicles in the school zones. Sheriff Garrison wants everyone to have a safe school year by making sure you are aware of your vehicle speed and stop for school buses loading or unloading.
