Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. September 1, 2004 At approximately 12:30 p.m. The Cherokee Sheriff's Office responded to I-575 southbound just south of Sixes Road in reference to a single car crash.
A red van was traveling southbound on I-575 when the vehicle crashed in the middle median of the interstate.
The driver of the vehicle died at the scene of the crash. There were five other passengers of the van, a four-year-old passenger sustained critical injuries and was transported to Scottish Rite Children's Hospital. The other three other passengers sustained serious injuries and were transported to Kennestone Hospital.
The Cherokee Sheriff's Office Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the fatal car crash.
