Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. September 13, 2004 On September 12, 2004 at approximately 2:00 am, The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office responded to 138 Lakeside Drive in Waleska regarding a child that was not breathing. The juvenile was at home with the boyfriend of the mother when the boyfriend found the juvenile unresponsive. The boyfriend called 911 and attempted to administer CPR. The juvenile was ground transported to Northside Cherokee where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office has initiated a death investigation regarding the incident. Detectives are awaiting the results of the autopsy and toxicology exams that were performed this morning.
